School board
members respond to criticism (Petramale)
On the
Contrary
I would like to take this opportunity to
publicly voice my opinion regarding Lanny Walter's
criticism of school board president Don Tucker and
vice president George Heidcamp. I'm saddened by Mr.
Walter's negative remarks about these two
hard-working, dedicated individuals, and I question
his motive.
On the contrary, I compliment Mr. Tucker and Mr.
Heidcamp for all the hard work they have done
representing the leadership of the BOE. They've
spent countless hours of their own time in their
roles as leaders to make sure the board is fully
informed on issues. I am currently serving my fifth
year on the board and I can honesty say that for
the first time positive changes have been made
under their leadership. It's not the BOE's
responsibility to report to the superintendent
and/or the contractors, as outlined in Mr. Walter's
letter, it's the responsibility of the
superintendent and/or the contractors to report to
the BOE. I believe Lanny Walter has his priories
mixed up.
