telephones are to be utilized for work related
communication and/or activities," but it also states
that: "reasonable
personal use shall be allowed." Superintendent
Rhau's comments regarding cell-phone use indicate
that "They
[the cell-phones] are a necessary tool to
keep school officials in touch in case of emergency."
Pay particular
attention to the hi-lighted calls (blue signifies calls
made on weekends). Then you be the judge....do you think
most of Mr. Hirsch's calls* are District-related, or
"reasonable," or do they qualify as
"emergencies:" ________ * The following logs showing
calls made from the cell phone assigned to Mr.Hirsch were
obtained through a FOIL (Freedom of Information Law) request
amd are a matter of public record.
