In the spring of 2006, Superintendent Rhau and Board President Buono attempted to put High School Principal Timothy Price into a new administrative position. They had started an interview process for Price's replacement.

They put forward a resolution, changing the job description for the temporary Joe Fondino position was vacating, and created a new one, that they hoped to fill with Price. This new position would have cost taxpayers over $120,00 with salary and benefits.

After voters turned down the 1st budget in May 2006, the school board backtracked and eliminated this position.
